Alterations

Once you receive your gown, we can provide you with a business card to call and make an appointment with the alteration specialist located in our store. Dawn, of Dawn Sews Alterations, is an experienced couture seamstress that runs her own business out of our location and we recommend that you interview her or anyone else that you choose to take your gown to.

 Alterations are the tedious part of getting your wedding gown ready for your big day. The alterations process is essential in shaping your gown to your body’s specific silhouette. Any alteration specialist will need time to define the contours of your gown and provide any personal modifications you may choose. This often requires several appointments to provide you with the perfect custom fit, so it’s very important that you and the alteration specialist communicate effectively to ensure the success of the whole wedding gown experience.

Alteration costs are a separate fee and payable directly to the alteration department. You are not obligated to use Dawn Sews alterations; however, because of the delicate quality of your gown, we recommend that you select someone with expertise in wedding gowns.
